The film prompts the viewer to engage in the process of gathering information and connecting disparate pieces of research in order to gain a personal understanding of the emblematic narratives and facts surrounding the red alga Gelidium sesquipedale. The internet as a multi-layered archive and its hyperlinks form the medium through which the investigation is conducted. The cursor moves across the desktop, navigating through multiple files – strands of research are processed, thought through and linked together.
