In the Moroccan context, digital information sources have become an important alternative to established analogue communication channels in recent years. However, they have yet to fully replace one of the most popular platforms for information exchange: the taxi kebir (minibus taxi). The taxi kebir serves not only as a means of transport, but also as a vehicle for the sourcing and dissemination of information. TAXI KEBIR aims to capture the sonic aspect of the non-digital network of information exchange provided by the numerous taxi kebirs moving around the city of Casablanca. Using analogue media, the installation presents the dissonance and simultaneity of information processing through a series of loops, gradually introducing the audience to the intricate dynamics of the network.
